PeCO ARCHEO voert momenteel een opgraving uit aan de Kerkstraat 48 in Damme.
Fase 1 van het onderzoek is ondertussen afgerond en de eerste opgravingsresultaten van het terrein maken duidelijk dat dit deel van Damme een intensieve bewoningsgeschiedenis van haast 500 jaar heeft gekend van florerende handelshaven, over militaire vesting tot ingeslapen landbouwersdorp.
Veel enthousiastelingen kwamen een kijkje nemen tijdens het publieksmoment op 22 februari 2025.
